As you know, I’ve been on this quest to find some good useful iPad manuals.

When I first got my iPad, I was so excited!

But then reality set in when I couldn’t find the manual, so I started doing some research and found it. (See my previous blog post where I show you how to find the iPad manual PDF download)

Once I found the iPad manual, I was actually a little disappointed because it had way too much detail, and not enough of the information that I really wanted, which was more of the day-to-day, how-to-do-it, type stuff.

So I kept on searching because I wanted to find a very simple and easy-to-use guide that would walk me through every step of getting the most out of my iPad.

And you know what they say, “Seek and you shall find!”

Not only did I find a great ebook called “iPad For Idiots”… (which you could onveniently read on your iPad , because it is a downloadable book)

But I also found a full-blown video course called “iPad Video Lessons” which contains dozens of short videos that will show you everything you need to know including a lot of hidden and secret iPad “hacks” that will help you enjoy your iPad to its fullest.

These resources are fantastic because now, whenever I have a question, I can just go to the index of either the ebook or the video lessons and find the answer, including step-by-step (or I should say tap by tap!) video instructions that walk you through how to do anything you can imagine with your iPad.

I hope these resources prove as useful and as exciting for you as they are to me and that they save you a ton of time like they did for me!

Here’s a link to the “iPad Video Lessons” resource.

The Super Cool iPad – One Of The Greatest Gadgets Known To Man…

The Super Cool iPad – One Of The Greatest Gadgets Known To Man…

Isn’t the iPad one of the coolest gadgets known to man? I mean, seriously. Apple has always had such a high regard for design, but even more brilliantly, to make their products so feature-rich and inventive that the rest of the competition is left scrambling to catch up with similarly innovative products!

When you first turn on your iPad, you realize right away what a great piece of technology you have in your hands. You can take photos, play the piano, watch videos, read books, play games, surf the web, chat to friends, and the list goes on and on. As a matter of fact, there are so many great features that you may not even discover them all. Why is that you ask? Well, the iPad doesn’t really come with an in-depth user guide or instruction manual. (You can download one for free that’s around 144 pages long but that can easily intimidate the average user)

Instead, it’s recommended to get a copy of iPad video lessons. They’re not free but, the beauty of such lessons is you shorten your learning curve significantly when it comes to discovering all the great features of your iPad. You can also access these lessons any time you want.

iPad video lessons simply make sense. A few smart folks out there realized people needed help discovering features and setting up their iPads so they created some indepth video lessons to help you get up to speed very quickly.

So, enjoy your new awesome iPad but, do yourself a big favor and get the iPad video lessons mentioned on this website, you’ll be glad you did!

How Do iPad Video Lessons Help?

How Do iPad Video Lessons Help?

If you’re lucky enough to own an Apple iPad, or any Apple iOS device, you’ll know very quickly you have a technological marvel in your hands. One thing I love about Apple products is not only the aesthetic beauty of the designs of their products but the full list of features that make their products cutting-edge and provide fantastic experiences.

Now, the iPad is not only an amazing piece of technology that is as intuitive as can be, however, not every cool feature is immediately obvious. I suppose you could say that about most high tech devices but the iPad is one where you want to know about its amazing features. The problem is, not every feature is immediately apparent. The good news is, iPad video tutorials exist and can help you cut right to the chase and discover all the great features of your tablet without struggling or guessing about how to get the best out of your iPad.

The thing is, once you grab a copy of iPad video lessons, you’ll be 97% ahead of the average iPad user because you’ll be able to take advantage of many (if not all!) of the great features the iPad has to offer. iPad video lessons are perfect to store on your desktop to reference whenever you want so you’re never too far away from getting the answers you need or discovering new features very quickly.

So, enjoy your new iPad but, if you get stuck or don’t feel you’re getting the most ouf of your Apple tablet, simply grab a copy of iPad video lessons and be on your way!

Where Is The iPad User Guide?

Where Is The iPad User Guide?

Since the iPad does not come inclusive of a user guide or downloadable instruction manual, there is now a wide range of online video lessons that you can obtain for a small fee if not already free.

These videos take you through the particular features you are stumped on with the visual to back up the explanation and making it easier to follow. iPad videos will show the various features and explain them in simple steps. The beauty of a video is that you can replay it as many times as you need in order to follow the instruction and if the first video you see does not help, you can move on to the next.

Of course, just like any information you find online, there will be good and bad information, so I recommend that you do your research and surf through several sources, not just the first one you come across,  to ensure that you understand what is being shown and also that you have found what you want.

Because of the immense popularity and reputation of the iPad it does in fact come as a surprise that Apple forgot to include an instruction manual for their top selling product.

But what you can’t get from Apple you can get online and now you can access a variety of iPad Video Lessons that cover all the amazing features of an iPad.

Where Are The iPad Instructions?

Where Are The iPad Instructions?

One thing I love about Apple products, led by the visionary Steve Jobs, is the detail…from the design to the functionality, Apple always seems to be ahead of the pack.

Love or hate Apple products, they are a welcome force in the technology arena because they also force the competition to create great products too, in order to compete.

Having said that, one of the best products to come out from Apple in recent years is the iPad; the portable tablet that has sold over 67 million copies by mid 2012!

However, one of the downsides (if you can call it that) is the iPad doesn’t really come with an in depth set of tutorials to really understand how each feature works. OK, so part of the fun of playing with your iPad is testing what each feature can do.

But, why spend hours trying to get the basics set up with you can simply rely on some well thought out iPad video lessons or tutorials? Learning to set up your iPad the quickest way possible is always encouraged so you can get back to the fun stuff!

Now, Apple does offer classes you can attend but you must adhere to their schedule and costs of their courses. There is a user manual you can download but it’s 144 pages and can easily intimidate the average user. Or, the more realistic option is to simply buy iPad video lessons, download them, access them whenever you want at your own convenience.

So, grab yourself a copy of iPad video lessons mentioned on this website, pour yourself a nice cup of coffee, and learn at your own speed and pace.

Looking For iPad Video Lessons?

Looking For iPad Video Lessons?

So, you’re the new, proud owner of an iPad!

If you’re familiar with the brilliant products created by Apple, such as the iPad or any of the iOS products, you’ll realize pretty quickly that there are no in depth instructions on how to really take advantage of your new “toy”.

Perhaps Apple prefers to leave it up to the end user to create their own unique set up. That’s fine, but we Apple users could still do with a bit more help when it comes to taking advantage of all the great features of the iPad.

As a result of this lack of instruction, a few clever people decided to create their own iPad video lessons to teach most of us less-than-techy people some great tips and tricks for setting up our device.

Some of these “tricks” can be really basic. For example, setting up your email account can befuddle even the cleverest of users.

iPad video lessons will walk you through the entire process saving you hours of frustration. I mean, it should be simple right? Technically, it is. However, if you’re new to the iPad, then video tutorials are a sure way to minimize your learning curve quickly.

You’ll also want to learn how to quickly set up  your privacy settings, add a screensaver, your phone number, adding contacts, setting up your calendar, adding maps, and so on.

Seems like a lot to know from the get-go but with iPad video lessons, you’ll be set up in no time so get your copy and don’t waste another minute trying to figure it out yourself.

iPad Accessories And Why You Might Need Them

iPad Accessories And Why You Might Need Them

Now that the iPad has become an integral part of our computing world, the number of accessories made for the iPad seems to explode on a daily basis!

From extra long-life battery packs to special, custom carrying cases, you can easily bling out, power up, connect and protect your iPad. But before you jump overboard, here’s an overview of what’s available, and what you need NOW:

Screen Protection

Your iPad is an investment, so it makes sense to protect it. For protection, you’ll at least want a screen protector. These nearly invisible self-adhesive, clear plastic sheets cling to your iPad screen, protecting it from scratches without disturbing your view. And they’re reasonably priced, too! Priced as low as $4, there’s no reason to skip this critical protection for your new toy! Keeping your iPad in pristine condition is also important in case you ever want to resell it.

Case Protection

If you’ve got your screen covered, you wonder why you also need a case protector.

Well, just as you wouldn’t want dents or dings on the body of your car, you certainly don’t want your gorgeous iPad scratched up, either – do you? J

And with the huge selection of cases, you can choose a portfolio, an easel-style, one that includes a keyboard, and dozens of other choices in different colors and materials. Prices range from $15 to $100 or more. Even if you don’t want to keep your iPad in a fancy holder, you still may want to buy a simple neoprene carrying sleeve just to keep it safe as you’re toting it around.

Power Support

The iPad has a great battery life, but if you plan on using it as your main mobile computing device, you might want to beef up your power supply by adding a car charger (which is available for as little as $4) or an external battery, which can range from $40 and up.

Special Interest Add-Ons

If you’re a photography fiend, grab a camera adapter and cable kit so you can easily download images from your digital camera to your iPad.

Music lovers, you might want to scoop up an external speaker, or a set of earphones, because the iPad doesn’t come with them.

Don’t forget about a wireless keyboard so you can crank out your next best-seller on the road! Whatever your interest, there’s probably an accessory to match.

As the iPad continues to make its way into the mainstream, more and more accessories will soon become available. Keep checking out the latest and greatest, and you’ll soon find they’ve made one just for you.

How To Shop For An iPad

How To Shop For An iPad

If you feel that you need an iPad in order to make your life complete, then guess what?

You’re not the only one!

Currently there are about 7.5 million iPads being used by devoted iPad owners world-wide, and those numbers are going to keep going up even further with each holiday season.

So if you want an iPad, what’s the next step?

Here’s what you need to do:

Decide if you want to buy directly from Apple or from a reseller

I always recommend buying directly from Apple, because of the added confidence you’ll have in getting repairs done or a refund issued if something happens to go wrong. Also, if you purchase an Apple product somewhere other than the Apple Store, they typically won’t replace it if there’s a problem. (The lower price isn’t worth the hassle; go with Apple.)

Decide if you want to buy online or from an Apple Store

With over 300 stores world-wide, there’s a good chance there’s an Apple Store near you.

But if you don’t want to deal with parking, lines, and “the mall” (where most Apple Stores are located), you can buy your iPad online with free shipping.

Just go to their website or copy and paste this link in your browser to see your choices: http://store.apple.com/us/browse/home/shop_ipad/family/ipad

Choose a 3G or a Wi-Fi model

There have been some problems reported with the reception of the Wi-Fi model; ours barely picks up the household signal, even when my iPhone and laptop are picking up a strong wireless signal. So if you plan on using it outside your home at all, I recommend going with the 3G; the data plan is very reasonable, and the ease of being able to pick up a signal anywhere you go can be a huge convenience.

Choose your size

$200 for four times more storage space seems like a no-brainer to me, but I’m the kind of person who believes that bigger is better, at least when it comes to hard drives!

However, if you don’t plan on using your iPad to store videos or audios, you may find the smaller sizes perfectly adequate. Remember though; just as with closets and garages, if you have the space, you’ll likely end up using it! And the more space you have, the more you’ll use your iPad.

Pull the trigger!

That’s it. The only other question you may have is what types of accessories you’ll want. (and if you want to engrave a saying on the back of your iPad – think of it as an electronic tattoo). The process is painless, as well it should be. And setting up your new baby will take even less time than buying it did. Happy iPadding!

iPad Cases Are Not Just For Fun

iPad Cases Are Not Just For Fun

After dropping several hundred dollars on an iPad, the last thing you may want to do is spend MORE money on add-ons and accessories. I know when I bought mine, I figured I could do without the bells and whistles, and only purchase what I absolutely needed.

Well, it turned out that I “absolutely needed” an iPad case! Just as you wouldn’t carry your laptop on a business trip without some sort of carrying case to keep it safe and portable, you don’t want to be running around with a $600 piece of equipment loose and susceptible to bangs, scratches, drops, and other hazards.

Here are a few reasons you need a case for your iPad:

Protection from scratches

Even if you keep really, really good care of your car, parking it in the corner of the lot, putting it in the garage at night, and waxing it once a month, it’s still going to show wear and tear over time. Here’s the scrape where the neighbor kid ran into you on his skateboard. Here’s where a runaway shopping cart slammed into your door. And here’s where your daughter decided black marker would be a great addition to your white paint job.

Face it; accidents happen, and unless you plan on keeping your iPad wrapped in tissue paper or safely locked away in your office, you’re probably going to be exposing it to some normal wear and tear.

That’s why you want to invest in a sturdy case to protect it from everyday use.

Easy Portability

Let’s say you skip buying the case. So where do you plan to store your wireless keyboard, your power cord, and your notebook?

Even a simple neoprene sleeve will allow you to keep everything together, and some portfolio-style cases come with keyboards built right in. And if you’re storing your iPad in a larger tote bag or briefcase, the case or cover will make it easier to store and locate.

Easy Use

I use my iPad with a wireless keyboard, and I love having the case that flips open to create a stand. I can plop down my keyboard, flip open my iPad, and I’ve got a versatile, light mobile computing workplace. The same would be true if I wanted to watch a movie or read an e-book; the case allows me to use my iPad the way I want to.

Now that you know why you need an iPad case, let’s look at the types available:

Hard and soft shell cases

Shell cases are typically made of plastic, rubber, or metal, and act as a sheath around your iPad. They leave the screen exposed, so you’ll want to make sure you apply a screen protector in addition to your shell. The main difference is that the hard shells are hard and slick, and the soft shells are rubbery and provide a bit more “grip.” They come in a huge variety of colors and styles, some even come with logos or cartoon characters, for example. How you choose yours is simply a matter of how you plan to use it, and of course, personal preference.

Portfolio cases

Portfolio cases flip open to reveal your iPad. These are popular because they offer an added layer of protection for your screen. People also like portfolios that allow you to set them up as a landscape or portrait easel, so you view the screen in your selected orientation. Portfolios are typically made of real or imitation leather, and can range widely in price.

All-in-one cases

An all-in-one case is great if you are using your iPad for a lot of word processing or email, as I do. The wireless keyboard is already integrated in the case, so it’s one less thing to keep track of. These are also typically made from leather, but new styles are emerging all the time.

Sleeves are simply carrying cases that keep your iPad safe while in transit.

Usually made of a neoprene or slightly cushiony material, the cases typically zip shut and provide safe transport on their own, or tucked inside a larger bag.

Whether you’re an on-the-go word-processing Lakers fan, or a movie lover, you’ll find a case to fit your taste and needs.

The choices are limitless, so you are almost guaranteed to find a case that won’t cramp your personal style.
